no J, thats not right, we were not and are not trying to scam anything from anybody, we just went to the hospital because we wanted something to get alot of the side effects to quit. That was the whole point of us going, which didnt even work out that way for my bf, he just got a shot in which they actually gave me a IV and give me meds for anxity and a little pain medicine for my legs. So no, that is not correct at all. My bf took his meds as directed also, unless he was hurting more so during work. Other than that it was taken as directed by the Dr.

You will NOT get arrested if you go to a doctor, and specifically ask for controlled substances, most likely, if they have red flagged your names, it will be a lot harder to get them.
Your bf needs a pain management specialist, and you both need a treatment center for your addictions.

As the doctor was treating him YES. He is allowed to look up stuff on his patent ESP if you are not telling the doctor the truth. If you where not why did you not go to your reg doctor? I do not see a reason as to why he could not.
EDIT: It is HIPAA ( health information portability and accountability act) people. And as the doctor was treating him he can see his records.

the doctor was in his full right to look up information. obvioulsy the information was public as you stated there was a “controlled substance list” he had to have authorization from somewhere, obvioulsy the test that your bf took was proof enough that he needed to see the list, OR it was just simply public, in either case, no rights were violated between the two of you and dont try to pass off that you werent scamming the doctor. you both are druggies and needed a fix because you were going through withdraw, you siad so yourself you needed the side effects to quit. you failed. either way, your doctor was right in looking your bf up.

You say your BF has a script that he overuses and you were also withdrawing with no mention of a script so I guess you are sharing. Under the circumstances you describe, the doctor was absolutely within the law.
I am taking Oxys now after surgery and I totally can understand how someone can get hooked on them. There is no time like the present to get out from under them. See if his insurance will pay for a rehab. He may be eligible for FMLA for the time he is in rehab.
Also – check for a pain management clinic in your area. They understand both addiction and the need for relief from pain. They can work with him to find something to help the pain that won’t get him addicted
