How to Manage Back Pain Easily

Cristie O'leary asked:

When I was in my early 30s I suffered with terrible back pain problems. I tried just about everything and anything that I could to try to resolve the issue I was being faced with. When I say everything, i mean everything. I tried, chiropractors, I tried reflexology, I tried physio therapy and all sorts of other thing including daily exercises and stretches.

I would keep going back to my GP and personally I found their help not to be that helpful as no one could seem to make the pain go away.

I used to mainly suffer with the pain first think in the morning, generally around 5 am where the pain would actually wake me up and I just was unable to get rid of it. I actually thought that I was going to be like that for the rest of my entire life.

One time when I suffered with the back pain it lasted for around a month in total. I went back to my GP because I thought there must be something he could do or prescribe me. In fact there was, he prescribed me with some tramadol which is a very strong pain killer. It is almost equivalent to 2 x 500mg of paracetamol and 2 x 30 mg of cocodamol.

These tablets helped tremendously and I could not thank my GP enough for prescribing them to me. I got into a routine of taking one tablet every day, just before I went to bed and that kept me pain free all night so that I could enjoy my sleep once again, without the fear of waking up in agony.

I’m not writing this article to tell you that I have found a cure, because I haven’t. But what I have found is an excellent pain killer that I would highly recommend to anyone, to discuss with their GP.

Three Days to Pain Relief

Jason Tirado asked:

The woman, one hand clutching her lower back, stepped gingerly into the office of Dr. Jason Tirado, a New Jersey doctor recommended by her primary care physician. The pain in her lower back was acute; she could not bend from side to side, could not bend over without feeling as if someone had plunged a knife into her lower back.

She had been taking a muscle relaxant drug, but found that the drug was having a negative effect: her ability to concentrate had diminished, her speech was occasionally slurred, and she was worried that she might become addicted to the drug. That was the last thing she needed. The alternative was back surgery, but she was terrified of going under a knife. Her father had died during surgery, and a friend had a stroke from the incorrect administration of an anesthesia.

Her primary care physician had told her about a procedure performed by Dr. Jason Tirado that was a safe and often effective alternative to back surgery. It is called Manipulation Under Sedation (MUS), during which a patient is given intravenous sedation, put into a twilight state, and has muscles and bones manipulated to a greater extent than would be possible during a non-sedated session with a chiropractor. As a result of three MUS sessions, her back pain vanished, and she returned to a normal life.

MUS is a medically approved technique that permits a doctor to perform deep stretches and spinal manipulations that would be painful without sedation. A typical MUS procedure takes between five and ten minutes. It is a non-invasive procedure that effectively treats chronic and acute neck pain, back pain, joint pain, muscle spasm, shortened muscles, fibrous adhesions, and scar tissue around the spine.

Another patient, Ryan Mendez, had been a passenger when the car he was riding in was involved in a serious collision. A subsequent MRI revealed that Mr. Mendez suffered from three swollen, bulged spinal discs. He found it difficult to bend his back and turn over while sleeping. Unable to find relief from pain and suffering from a lack of mobility, Mr. Mendez sought help from Dr. Tirado. After an initial session of manipulation under sedation and two follow-up visits, Mr. Mendez experienced complete relief from pain, and he now enjoys a life of pain-free full mobility.

“If it were not for Dr. Tirado and his MUS treatment, I would still be suffering, or I would have had to submit to dangerous spinal surgery. I am grateful to him for the ease with which I can now function, and it took only ten minutes!”

Dr. Tirado is not only held in high regard by his former patients, but also by the medical community, which regularly recommends patients to his MUS treatment center. Dr. Tirado, while based in New Jersey, treats patients throughout the country and trains doctors at surgical clinics and hospitals in the techniques of MUS.

“It’s truly amazing,” said Dr. Tirado, “how many people are frightened of surgery and so prefer our non-invasive and effective method for eliminating chronic and acute pain.”

Dr. Tirado is a graduate of the New York Chiropractic College, New Jersey University, and the Levittown Chiropractic Clinic. He is a member of the National Academy of Manipulation Under Anesthesia Physicians, Northern New Jersey Chiropractic Association, and the New Jersey Chiropractic Society. His e-mail is drtirado@aol.com

Easy Back Pain Remedies

Kat S asked:

Depending on the condition of your back and the amount of pain you are having please do not attempt to use home remedies without first consulting your Doctor. There are as many home remedies for back pain as there are hairs on our pretty little heads. Back pain can be severe and chronic. For those who live with chronic back pain there isn’t anything they wouldn’t give to end the discomfort.

After being examined by a physician you’ve just found out that the muscles around your spine are contracting. Your have a slip disk in your lower back that keeps you from being as active as you like. How will you get rid of this awful feverish pain?

A drug called Flexeril (a muscle relaxer) will help to ease the pain. Your Doctor may recommend a surgical proceedure that will assist you with your discomfort and agitation. Until he does perform surgery it is a good idea to keep the muscles in your back nice and relaxed. Flexeril is a called a miracle drug by many. And, they are a non-addictive, well-respected, and frequently prescribed drug for those who suffer with this type of pain.

Building up the muscles in the area around your back pain is also a great remedy for chronic back pain. There are simple stretches you can do to contract the muscles in your back. Work your work routine slowly to maximize the results. Again, always consult a physician and in this case a physical therepist who can advise you of the best excersizes for back pain. Follow the Doctors instructions to the letter.

Has your Doctor prescribed a Dexa Scan? Health conscious females would not dream of ever skipping a female examination. But what does a relatively healthy woman know about another very vital health check called the bone density test? If you suffer with chronic back pain and need remedies then don’t rule out any test that might be helpful in determining the best medical plan for improving your condition.

There are a lot of back pain myths out there. Don’t fall for every remedy you hear or read about. The snake oil salesman are still alive and kicking. They’re backs are still in great condition while they prowl the web trying to sell you something that probably won’t work. Stay away from back remedies that promise the world. In most cases your pain will only be postponed if that! In all cases it’s your personal physician that can help you most.
