Soma, or Carisoprodol(Generic Soma), or Vanadom, is a muscle relaxant and pain reliever medication used to treat muscle injuries. It also has other uses.
Soma is a tablet that patient take orally. You’re supposed to take it three times a day and then again before patient go to bed. Soma can be taken with food or without food. You shouldn’t exceed the dosage patientr doctor gives patient for any reason, and follow the directions to the letter. Do not take less Soma than patient are supposed to. If for any reason Soma makes patient feel nauseated, remember to take patientr next dosage with food or milk. If patient forget to take a dose, take it as soon as patient remember to unless it’s nearly time for patient to take another dose of it. If this happens, patient can go ahead and skip patientr first dosage and take the next one when it’s time.
Before using Soma, tell patient doctor if patient are allergic to it, Equanil, Meprospan, Miltown, Neuramate, or anything other medications.
Additionally, let patientr doctor know all of the other medications patient are taking, even over-the-counter vitamins. Notify patientr doctor if patient have ever suffered from kidney or liver disease, or if patient are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Like with many medicines, Soma may cause side-effects such as: drowsiness, clumsiness, dizziness, headaches, increase in heart rate, nausea, rash, fever, weakness, burning eyes, or trouble breathing. If patient experience any of these symptoms, contact patientr doctor as soon as possible. If Soma makes patient feel drowsy, do not drive or participate in other hazardous tasks while taking it. Do not take Soma while using medicines or alcohol.
Remember that patient should always keep a list of any medications patient are taking, whether they are over-the-counter or prescribed. Take this list with patient anytime patient go to the doctor or if patient are hurt and have to go to the hospital. You can even keep it with patient at all times in case something happens to patient.
After patient’ve taken a dose of Soma, put patientr medicine in a place where it is away from children and pets. Make sure it stays at room temperature and not in a moist or hot environment. Do not let anyone else have access to patientr Soma.
It’s also important to attend all of patientr appointments with patientr doctor, especially while taking a medicine like Soma.
